20kW Fiber Laser Cutter Commissioning and Training in the USA

SENFENG has successfully completed the commissioning and operator training of an SF4020GH5 20kW fiber laser cutting machine in the United States. The project was led by after-sales engineer Mr. Cao Meng, who delivered end-to-end technical support covering electrical preparation, system calibration, process development, and hands-on training. Through systematic setup and testing, the machine was brought into full operational condition with reliable cutting performance.

Electrical Setup and Safety Integration

March 17, 2026

The project began with electrical system organization and optimization. Circuit connections were checked and arranged to ensure stable operation. Safety relay settings were configured, and a light curtain was installed to enhance operational safety and protection. These preparations ensured that the system met all safety and control requirements before commissioning.

Bevel Cutting Calibration and Process Development

March 18, 2026

The bevel cutting head was calibrated to achieve accurate alignment and cutting precision. Following successful calibration, initial development of bevel cutting parameters was carried out. Trial samples involving complex cutting paths were processed, requiring careful adjustment of parameters to achieve optimal results.

Continuous Parameter Optimization and Cutting Trials

March 19–20, 2026

Bevel cutting parameters were further refined through continuous testing. Full-sheet cutting operations were conducted on medium-thickness plates, verifying stability and cutting consistency.

Additional testing focused on thicker materials, with emphasis on bevel cutting performance in the 25–30 mm range. Through repeated trials and adjustments, cutting quality was progressively optimized for different material thicknesses.

Software Operation and Production Training

March 23–24, 2026

Training sessions were conducted on nesting software and system operation. The operator was guided through full-sheet processing workflows, including layout preparation, parameter configuration, and execution of cutting tasks.

Practical exercises covered processing of carbon steel plates in multiple thicknesses, enabling the operator to become familiar with standard production procedures and improve operational efficiency.

Bevel Cutting Practice and Application

March 25, 2026

Focused training on bevel cutting applications was carried out. The operator practiced independent programming and cutting of bevel parts, successfully completing sample components and verifying cutting performance through testing.

Material Adaptation and Performance Verification

March 26, 2026

Cutting parameters were adjusted and optimized for stainless steel materials. Full-sheet processing of bevel components was performed, confirming the machine’s adaptability across different materials and ensuring consistent processing quality.

Final Commissioning and Acceptance

March 27, 2026

After completing all setup, testing, and training tasks, the machine underwent final commissioning and acceptance. The system operated smoothly across all functions, with stable performance in both standard and bevel cutting applications. The project was successfully completed, and the machine was ready for continuous production use.
